The QRA2 flame detector is designed for the supervision of gas flames, yellow- or blue-burning oil flames, and ignition spark proving. It utilizes UV radiation for generating a flame signal and ensures reliable operation in various conditions.
Operation
- Flame Supervision: Utilizes UV radiation emitted by gas or oil flames.
- UV-Sensitive Cell: Contains 2 electrodes that ignite when exposed to radiation in the 190–270 nm range, triggering a current in the flame detector circuit.
- Selective Response: Does not respond to glowing firebrick in the combustion chamber, daylight, or boiler room illumination.
Mechanical Design
- Housing: Metalized plastic housing to prevent static discharge caused by airflow from the fan.
- Mounting: Direct mounting on the burner, with or without securing the flange and clamp.
- Terminal Cover: Black terminal cover for protection.
